Here is a list of items that our personal Kerries love, and we wanted to share a little bit about those things!

Our Favorite Training Items

With Open Arms and a Level Head: How to Bring a Puppy Into Your Life – Madcap University

This is a fantastic, watch at your own pace class about bringing your puppy culture puppy into your life and family. We highly recommend all our puppy families watch this.

WHEN PIGS FLY BOOK – PUPPY CULTURE (shoppuppyculture.com)

This is a fabulous book on training any dog, but I feel like the author really understands terriers in particular very well (she herself raises Bull Terriers). Highly recommend!

Our Favorite Toys

Unstuffed Toys

We like these, the dogs love to play tug with them, they squeak but don't leave stuffing all over the place once they are "dead."

Water Bottle Dog Toy

Kerry Blues are fascinated with plastic water bottles, no idea why but they are. We love these because you can hide the bottle in something soft but also replace it easily when its worn out. Many toys like these come with a bottle cap that makes a squeaker noise as well, which they also seem to love.

Flirt Pole

We don't recommend this toy for growing puppies, but once they are older and their growth plates have closed this is great fun! We like this particular brand as the parts are interchangeable as they wear out.

Snuffle Mats

Your puppy will have played with a snuffle mat a time or two before going home. It's a great way to use up some brain power and help them ready for a nap, also a fun way to feed them their dinner. The options on these are endless, you can even make your own!

Our Favorite Misc Items

Slopper Stopper Water Bowl

This is a MUST HAVE for bearded dogs. It prevents them from dunking their beard in the water and "mopping" the floors. We use the medium size. Your puppy will have been drinking out of this bowl for several weeks before going home.
